This is the longplay of Actraiser 2, an action and platform game produced by Quintet and distributed in the United States and Japan by Enix (today, SquareEnix) in 1993 and in Europe by Ubisoft in 1994 exclusively for the Super Nintendo. The game begins with the Master battling with Tanzra (still "Satan" in the Japanese version). In this game, a backstory is given as to why Tanzra hates the Master so vehemently. Tanzra, who was once the Master's servant, led a rebellion against him, but lost and was banished from Heaven. Tanzra, now vowing revenge for his defeat by the Master, unleashed these demons upon the world. The player in this game assumes the role of the Master, aided by his angelic associates, known as Crystallis. In this second game, the Christian references are clearer: each main enemy you face are demons representing the seven deadly sins and are led again by Tanzra, who has come back stronger and crueler to spread evil. In this game, unlike its predecessor, it does not have a strategic part and on the map that would be it is used exclusively for traveling and choosing stages (it also had this in the first one, but the strategic part was included together which made it more challenging). The game focuses only on the action that are the missions played on the platform. The hero uses the sword and spells (which are available from the beginning and are performed by holding Y or X to charge, in the best Mega Man style, and fired. Each direction or the fact of being done on the ground or in the air gives a spell different, being 7 spells in total). The hero also has a shield to defend enemy spells. The graphics are also one of the most beautiful on the SNES. The soundtrack for ActRaiser 2 was also entirely composed by Yuzo Koshiro, with even more refined music and with the medieval essence that ActRaiser suggests. The game is also known for its high degree of difficulty. The game is a sequel to the original ActRaiser, but the storyline is not directly connected to its predecessor. Otherwise, the given story draws concepts from the famous religious epics Paradise Lost and the Divine Comedy. ActRaiser 2 is a good game, but it's not a game for everyone and I like the first game in the series much better. ActRaiser 2 is a game that requires a lot from the player. The video was made on Hard, with the best ending, with all stages and post-game extras. Hope you like it.
