На рубеже XVII–XVIII вв. усадьбой владел стольник К.И. Хомяков, после смерти которого усадьба перешла двоюродному племяннику Ф.С. Хомякову, обустроившему ее. Впоследствии усадьбу наследовал философ А.С. Хомяков (1804–1860). В конце 1830-х гг. по проекту крепостного архитектора С. Александрова при участии А.С. Хомякова возведен Сретенский храм в формах позднего классицизма. При последнем владельце Д.А. Хомякове (1841–1918) построены два флигеля, примыкающих к главному дому, дом управляющего, скотный двор, обновлены и расширены парники и оранжереи. В усадьбе действовали доходные Волотинский винокуренный завод и Обидимские каменноугольные копи. В 1891– 1894 гг. по проекту Н.В. Султанова и П.В. Жуковского возведена колокольня – копия кампанилы венецианского собора Сан-Марко Since the mid-17th century, the estate has been the Khomyakov family estate. At the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, the estate was owned by the steward K. I. Khomyakov, after whose death the estate passed to his cousin F. S. Khomyakov, who developed it. Subsequently, the estate was inherited by the philosopher A. S. Khomyakov (1804–1860). In the late 1830s, the Sretensky Church in the late classicism style was erected according to the design of the serf architect S. Alexandrov with the participation of A. S. Khomyakov. Under the last owner D. A. Khomyakov (1841–1918), two outbuildings adjoining the main house, a manager’s house, and a cattle yard were built, and the greenhouses and orangeries were renovated and expanded. The estate housed the profitable Volotinsky distillery and the Obidim coal mines. In 1891–1894, a bell tower was erected according to the design of N.V. Sultanov and P.V. Zhukovsky – a copy of the campanile of the Venetian Cathedral of San Marco.
