SKIP CHARACTER CREATION: 13:30 SKIP CLASS SETUP: 23:12 Welcome to my blind/first-impressions Let's Play of Alvora Tactics, an indie turn-based tactical RPG developed and published by the one-team over at Rad Codex. It's the successor to their previous title, Voidspire Tactics, using the same engine and setting. But, it's technically not a sequel. Full disclosure, I got a free copy from the developer to LP this game. In this game, you build a party of adventurers to explore the insides of the recently deceased Great Serpent Alvora, seeking lost treasures and ruins. Alvora has devoured many different areas during its lifetime, so there's a variety of environments to explore inside of its bowels. Like its predecessor Voidspire Tactics, Alvora Tactics places a heavy emphasis on character building, tactical combat, and dungeon exploration. Every character you control can be molded into a variety of roles based on the 10 races and 23 classes available. In fact, characters may have primary and secondary classes equipped simultaneously, and these may be swapped on the fly outside of battle. Furthermore, there are no restrictions on what equipment a character can wear, though some are definitely better suited for certain builds. All of this combined with the point buy system for upgrading stats and skills, creates a very flexible system for building a team of adventurers. And this is not even taking into the account the various additions this game made. As mentioned in the playlist description, this will be a blind LP of the game. So my apologies in advance for any dumb mistakes I make over the course of the playthrough. With the increased number of possible party members and modified difficult curve, I totally expect this to happen a few times. In this part, I create my first four characters, set their classes and base abilities, go through the tutorial, and complete my first battle with Pilpoks. The first two parts will be more focused on setting up my party and exploring the town. After that, they'll be more focused on dungeon exploration. Alvora Tactics LP Playlist:
