Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss | Unity Pt 1 (Full Game)

After the Baron's Daughter is kidnapped by..Something.. you, the only witness, are accused of the crime. Regardless of your pleas of innocence the Baron casts you into the Stygian Abyss, before he does he admits you may be truthful, but the only way he'll accept your innocence is to return with his precious daughter. Armed with literally nothing but ragged undergarments and your wits you must brave the Underworld, find the missing girl and uncover the mysteries of the Abyss. You'll have to find a source of light, armor, weapons, food, water, rest when you are tired, slay foes and monsters, learn magic and foreign tongues, ally yourself with the inhabitants of the abyss and out-think the various obstacles of this treacherous volcanic void. The Seminal first work from Looking Glass Studios (then called Blue Sky Productions), Ultima Underworld revolutionized gaming ushering in most of the modern mechanics used in virtually every game today. The first game to feature true texture mapped 3D environments experienced from a first person perspective, this game was also the grand progenitor of all Immersive Sims. Without Ultima Underworld we would not have 3D first person games, DOOM, Elder Scrolls, Modern FPS mechanics and controls, Real time RPG mechanics in games...the list goes on. Adhering to a design philosophy of open worlds, high degrees of simulation, player freedom, and realistic immersive game mechanics and systems, Ultima Underworld created a world with such depth and possibility that even to this day it is easy to get lost and immersed in this highly simulated and realized abyss.
