We found a dog lying on the roadside, barely alive. He looked like he didn't have the strength to stand up and had been abandoned there. His lower body was completely immobile, and he could only lie there barking. His voice was hoarse, and no one knew how long he had been lying there without anyone caring. After the doctor examined him, he said the spine was fractured - basically paralyzed. Surgery was needed, but no one knew if he could get better. But things gradually improved after that. This dog named Xiaoshu, although his legs were disabled, had a pretty good temperament. He cooperated with treatment and didn't make a fuss. We made him a little wheelchair, and he quickly learned to use it and could even run around everywhere. Daily acupuncture, massage, and exercises - although progress was slow, he was getting better. The most interesting thing was that this guy was quite optimistic. He liked to chew slippers and would drool when he saw food, just like any normal dog. After 160 days, although Xiaoshu still couldn't fully stand up and walk, he was much better than at the beginning. His legs had some strength, and sometimes he could even kick a few times. It looked like this little guy really wanted to stand up and was always trying.
