While heading out, I stumbled upon a young stray mother cat giving birth. Inexperienced and terrified, she fled without even biting off the umbilical cord. When I returned from my errands, I found two tiny kittens on the grass—soaking wet and covered in ants. Unable to find the mother cat, I had no choice but to bring the kittens home and learn from scratch how to care for newborns: feeding, keeping them warm, and helping them eliminate, every few hours around the clock. Though bottle-feeding was exhausting, with dedicated care from my family and me, the two kittens gradually opened their eyes and became more energetic.
