One of my favourite console titles ever is Rez - originally released on the Dreamcast and Playstation 2 the game was an on rails shooter which synchronised the action to the the music and filled the screen with as many abstract cyberspace visuals as the hardware of the day could manage. But now, after 16 years it's been updated for modern hardware and includes an straight up mind blowing VR mode.
