Hey guys, Mac Guzman here. Namco's Galaxian was the first game preceding Galaga. Galaxian came out in the US in October 1979. It is basically a colorized version of the black and white Space Invaders that Taito released in 1978. The game's claim to fame is being one of the first videos games to use multi-color sprites. As a Galaga fan, my first impression is that Galaxian is one of the most frustrating games ever! GAMEPLAY This great game from the 80’s is a shooter arcade game. You have in the bottom of the game screen a spaceship. Your enemies are insects who fly down and attack you with bombs. Shoot the insects and destroy all of them to get the next level. Galaga is a Japanese arcade game developed and published by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981. It is the sequel to 1979's Galaxian. Playlist with the first 5 games: 🔵
