Hello everyone around the world, wishing you a happy new year and good health… Today, while I was walking on the street, I happened to pass by a deserted sidewalk full of trash and weeds. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, and piles of rubbish were thrown haphazardly, creating an extremely messy scene. Many people passed by but no one had the courage to set foot on it. Even the people living nearby had to avoid it because they couldn't stand the stench. I decided I couldn't be indifferent anymore. Even though it was the weekend, I grabbed my gloves, broom, and shovel and started cleaning. At first, everything looked terrible, but thinking about the image of a clean sidewalk, I continued to try. Each bag of trash was collected, each layer of weed was pulled clean. While cleaning, I saw a police car passing by, they looked at us and smiled, it seemed they were happy to see the sidewalk here was clean so that people could exercise on the sidewalk without being in danger. While cleaning, the wind blew dry leaves everywhere, making me unable to control them. I kept sweeping them and then blowing them out, making us uncomfortable. After a few hours of cleaning, I had completely transformed. The sidewalk was not only clean but also fresh and bright. People started to walk on it, children ran and played again. Some people even thanked me. I felt great to have turned a forgotten place into a lovely street corner, leaving a message: with just a small action, we can change a lot.
