This run uses a glitch allowing roughly 100-400 extra men to be used each battle depending on sector choice order. To perform the glitch, place the desired number of men on the sector, then scroll down to the men counter and decrease it while the other opponents are choosing the map. You will have the number of men when the sector was chosen in the battle, but only use up the number shown when the screen fades into the battle. This glitch cannot be done on the SNES version. Timing starts when pressing the button to select a character. Timing ends when the last screen saying overlord of eternity fades out. Played on a US Sega Genesis.
