Вчера 1988 Yesterday

Вчера 1988 Краят на 60-те години. Дана (София Кузева), дъщеря на дипломат в Лондон, се завръща в България и е настанена в пансион на езикова гимназия, в която учат предимно деца на висши партийни функционери. Иван (Христо Шопов) е син на човек на върхушката и дори по-сериозните провинения са му простени, докато Ростислав (Георги Стайков) е приет в училището само заради способностите си и при най-малката грешка може да бъде преместен. Освен че харесва и двамата, съученичкта им Марина е човек, който обича сложните интриги, в които скоро ще бъде въвлечена и Дана. В училището се разследва бременноста на ученичка и преподавателите са изнервени. На обикновените младежки лyдории се гледа като на потенциални престъпления, докато не се случва непоправимото. The main characters are Ivan, his best friend Rostislav, Dana (a newly-arrived student), Marina and Kostov. All of them, sharing their own petty intrigues which ultimately end with the death of one of them, are aware of the absurdities and oppressions of the Bulgarian Communist regime; and all too often each finds his/her own individual means of escaping from it all, whether through friendship, love, or the occasional derisive remark. At the same time that they are subjected to the bureaucratic babble of their despotic teachers, they are likewise exposed to the beauty and richness of Shakespeare, and the incendiary tunes of The Beatles, for which they are reproached on numerous occasions.
