Played by: MadMatty Game was played on Mania (hard) difficulty and two playthroughs have been shown. 00:00 - First playthrough, game was set to Original game mode and plays like the arcade and other ports. I collected all 7 diamonds in each level and all 7 large diamonds after killing the boss. Oddly this still resulted in the bad ending. Maybe the difficulty is demanding a second loop. On the final level I also collect all diamonds in order to unlock the secret door which appears after killing the boss. It was too much of a pain to try and make it work for every island. 44:13 - Second playthrough, game was set to Extra mode. In this mode the islands get a bit of a shuffle and different enemies are used. The first island is darious themed. At some point I collect the diamonds in order again and unlock the wings. I kinda abuse for the rest of the game and fly right through levels after i get my diamonds and gives me an edge at the boss stages.
